Pania Plodders’ 41st AGPU, July 19 2025.

Holier than Thou, or so they say.

The church bells rang, and all the saints and sinners came to repent and play. This cool July afternoon the punters of Pania Plodders congregated to commemorate another trip around the sun full of huffing, puffing, and stuffing (of beer and food down throats).

Organised this year by Mother Mary herself (Shady Lady) with the most obedient Likka offering spiritual support to the flock (emphasis on the spirits part). The Meeanee Hotel was blessed, consecrated, and bullied by the church into hosting the Holy Calamity in their function room; with church pews to set our bums on and all manner of religious (and sacreligious) paraphernalia such as candles, Bibles, unholy communion goblets, and… a taser?

Likka sent the hounds around Meeanee, with a sneaky backcheck to send us all to the Meeanee chapel! Where snacks, Hell beer, mead, and ambrosia were available to refill the depleted calories while bantering.

Back at home home the sinners assembled for communion and forgiveness and dinner, which by sheer act of God was divinely prepared by none other than Pania herself! During which Cardinal and Juggler presided over the ceremony to dole out congratulations, commiserations, and to appoint the new bishops (committee) for the 2025-26 Pania year.
